Today I am thankful for someone I trust. Explicitly. I am thankful for Dr. Jokerst. Last night we were going to bed when Addy started gasping for breath. We assumed she was having an asthma attack and we gave her a nebulizer treatment and called the pediatrician who instructed us to give her another treatment right away. I ended up taking her to the Children's Hospital ER because things still didn't feel quite right. She was diagnosed with croup and an asthma flare up. This morning we were taking Olive to the doctor for the cough she has had for the last week.
While we were sitting in the waiting room Dr. Jokerst came out and talked to us about what was going on with Addison. We had Olive's appointment and talked about both girls. After we left we were talking about how lucky we are. In many ways I feel like Dr. Jokerst is a partner to us. He is the most non-judgmental individual and always offer his insights in a compassionate, caring manner. He is a great listener. He cares about our girls as much as we could hope for.
Dear God, Thank you for providing Dr. Jokerst to care for our girls. Thank you for the knowledge and insight he has as well as the manner in which he does this. Thank you for a good fit. Amen.
