Day Twenty - Grown up time

Tonight was a fun night...we had a couple over that we've been friends with for quite awhile.  Becca and I actually met at Alma and developed our friendship after college when we both ended up in Grand Rapids.  Anyhow, the Johnson's came over for dinner tonight.  Addison adores both Aunt Becca and Uncle Jason (as well as their four legged family member, Dexter).  Addison got a lot of time to spend with them tonight, as did Olive.  However, the part of the evening that I am most thankful for was after the girls went to bed.  Just spending time with our friends, playing a game and enjoying not having to remind people to say, "Yes please" instead of "Yeah".  Hurray for grown up time!

Dear God, thank you for placing the Johnson's in our lives.  Thank you for developing our friendship and allowing us join one another in different walks in our lives.  Thank you for an evening with other adults, thank you for a laughter and a fun time. Amen.
