3 Week Update (with pictures!!!)

The last three weeks have been busy for the Ekloves.

We worked on our garden at Nama and Pa's house. This required roto-tilling the space that we intend to fill with our victory garden numerous times. We have plans to grow sweet peas, green beans, wax beans, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, and tomatos. I remember the garden we had when Drew and I were little. It was something that we did most summers and we always worked on it as a family. In talking with my parents about a month and a half ago we decided that it was something we should start again so that Addy would be able to experience it as well.

Addison had a pretty enjoyable Easter. Her day started with an Egg Hunt at Nama and Pa's. And then we had omelettes, went to church and later in the day we had everyone; Nama, Pa, Mary Ellen, and NANA AND PAPA (who returned from Phoenix on Friday) over for dinner. Addison got to show off her skills on her new tricycle and the dress that Nama made her!

We also have had a pretty big transition occur in our house. Jeff and I no longer have the four sides of a crib to keep up comfortable at night or during naptime. Addison has been able to climb in and out of her crib for sometime. We have discouraged the climbing out and curbed it for the most part - but for safety's sake we decided it would probably be a good time to move to the toddler bed that her crib converts to. The first night went pretty well - she stayed in it, and didn't get out or fall out until she woke up at 6:15am. Which was a very early start this morning.

We went to the zoo today. Addison was a little running maniac all over. It was fun to see her get excited about all of the different animals. A pretty big difference from Addy at the zoo last year!

Lastly, we've really started to think about what our options are with the condo. We have talked about putting it on the market - but we're really not willing to lose any money on it. And we know that it could be years before it moves....so, we've really started to work through what it will look like to lease it out (maybe a lease to own option?) and either buying a new house or building a new one. Kind of overwhelming - so our first steps are getting the condo ready to be leased - there are a few things that we need to do; some new doors, new carpet, and some new paint.
