I realized that when you are a kid things seem MUCH larger. I remember going there as a kid. Either the festival got ten times smaller in the last twenty years or I got a lot bigger. I think we all know what happened there...
Addison learned how to ride on her Pops shoulders. She thought this was very fun...I think her favorite part was showing Pops how well she could hold on...to his hair! I think he may have a little bit less hair after that adventure.
I found out people do read our blog! We ran into Jeff's best friend Brandon's stepmom Donna and she told us she reads us! Earlier in the day I had just told my parents about I was about to quit blogging because it felt like nobody read what I was writing (hint hint to everyone who reads...we would love to hear from you!) and running into Donna gave me the boost I needed to keep going...
We bought Addison's birthday present. I know it's a few months ahead...but they had a craft booth with wooden toys and there was a wooden push mower. It will be perfect for her once she starts walking. And no Jessi, this is not a toy that has math problems. Anyone who knows me probably knows that I prefer toys that have some developmental aspect to them...and Jessi loves to tease me about it...earlier this weekend we were talking and she wanted me to get Addy a purple Barbie Jeep from a garage sale that was in her neighborhoood. And I said "no way." Then she proceeded to ask me if that was because it didn't have math problems on it. I am sure that this resolve of mine will fade some as Addison's resolve strengthens...but for now I am holding on as best I can. Besides, I really think there is something special about wooden toys.

YEAH and thank god for Aunt Jessi! She really knows how to have fun!
Believe it or not, I was really trying to smile not grimace. She does have a pretty good grip. It looks like she is fascinated by the shiny spot on the back of my head.
I love your blog! Addison is such a cutie...
Do you read ours???
I heart addison for pulling the hair of everyone she rides on!
I read it! Don't stop!
