What a Week...

This week seemed to be a true test. This week was my first week since I have been back to work that my job has been what it normally looks like - juggling clients, presentations, driving from office to office and troubleshooting. On Tuesday Addison and I were to Nana and Papa's house by 6am so I could be to my presentation by 6:30am. However, I realized quickly that the busier I am at work the faster my day goes and the quicker I get to go pick up my little girl. Addison finally rolled over all by herself - however, neither Jeff or myself have witnessed this yet. She decided to do this for Nana and Papa on Tuesday and the little stinker hasn't done it since!

In addition to juggling work I am in my last class of my program and graduation is only 41 days away. However, I feel like those forty one days will last forever. I have been somewhat spoiled in having the some wonderful professors over and over and know what they want and they know my work. I think that I am paying for that this semester - by having a new professor who is big into group work. Not my strong point! I am so anxious to be able to put my credentials after my name. Sara Eklove, LLMSW. Yeah!

The first Mother's Day I had as a Mommy was wonderful. Jeff and Addison (and Autumn) spoiled me with a beautiful diamond necklace. Jeff let me know that Addison had some help in picking it out. He did a wonderful job and I know that everytime I put it on I will remember that special day.

Uncle Drew moved home from Kalamazoo this week. After playing in the National Championship in Alaska he had his men's league tournament (translation: beer league). This tournament was what caused a trip to the ER to fix his face (I don't mean the general face, I mean the part that was in desperate need of stitches after a puck to the face). Ironic, isn't it. However, we are glad that he is home and look forward to the summer and seeing him play at Adrian College in the fall.

Let's see...what else is new? Addison also tried eating off a spoon this week. She was not happy about this - she could not get her food fast enough. Jeff and I realized that the next time we try this we need to give her a bottle first. And she has inherited a Baby Einstein Excer-Saucer from Austin who is too old to be interested in such "baby toys". She gets the most intense look on her face when she is trying to push the buttons that make the animal noises. Jeff and I have heard "Moo" "Cow" and "Lacha" over and over and over. We are looking forward to Addison's discovery of the fact that there are more noises she can make with that thing!

This next week is going to be just as busy as last week...Addison gets her pictures taken (so I should have some to post soon!), she has her four month check up and gets shots, I have to get my first cavity ever filled, and we are squeezing in a trip to Chicago for Angela's (Jeff's cousin) graduation party. This will be the first time that Addy meets her Chicago family.

Well, I better wrap this up...Addison is in bed with her dad and they are both snoring. Now is my chance to clean the bathroom and get some laundry done! Hope all is well with everyone!
