Day 333- Free Fun for Four

Tonight Jeff brought home a box. An empty one. Addison had asked him to, so he did. And out of it he created 'Addison and Olive's Market'. He cut a door, some windows, and a drive thru window. The girls had so much fun playing. Olive just kept running around it peeking in the windows and screaming. Then she'd fall down and belly laugh. She did this all the way up until bedtime. Then Addy made Jeff and I be her customers until her bedtime. Jeff and I had fun watching the girls. And it was a good lesson for me- with the thousands of dollars we have spent on toys I truly think this has received more attention and enjoyment. And it is a free, empty box. (and for those of you who know me well, yes-my first reaction was to move the big brown box out of my immediate living space as quickly as possible. But as of now, it is sitting in the middle of my living room....with no plans to go elsewhere. Look at me, some might all all that growth, or at least diminishing neuroticism.)

Dear Father, thank you for an unexpected lesson this evening. Thank you for a demonstration of your will in simplicity. Amen.
