Day 315 - A girl with morals

So Addy shared a secret with her friend Austin.  Who shared it with his mom.  Who shared it with me....

Apparently, two boys are in love with Addy.  And one of them wants to kiss her.  Just great.

So, last night we had a casual conversation about who loves us, and who we love.  At which point she shared her secret with me.  Thank heavens the carefully crafted conversation worked, because other than that, I had no tricks up my sleeve.  We talked about not keeping secrets from Mommy's and Daddy's.  And then she told us he also wanted to marry her.  So we asked her what she said.  And she informed us that she told him that they couldn't kiss until they got married.  And they had to be really old before they could do that.  Thank heavens. 

Dear Lord, thank you for this little girl and her wit.  Thank you for the fact that she might have listened over the past couple of years when we told her she couldn't get married until she was at least old enough to graduate college.  Thank you for her Uncle Drew who reinforced this rule with his own actions.  Thank you for little girls who don't want to kiss little boys.  Amen.
