Tonight Olive gave us a sneak peek of her independent spirit. After dinner my dad and I took both of the girls for a night time walk while Jeff and Nama cleaned up the kitchen. Addison was a little scaredy cat and a huge chicken. It was dark so she wanted to hold hands and she was a nervous nelly. Olive, however, kept wanting to walk by herself, and screamed if someone tried to hold her hand and/or pick her up to speed along the process. All in all, this kid walked over a quarter of a mile by herself and loved every second of it.
Dear God, Thank you for the very different and distinct personalities you have bestowed upon each of our girls. Thank you for sneak peeks of what is to come, and for nights that are still warm enough for walks. Amen.
