Day 291- hair feathers

Someday my four year old will be a teenager. And will have to concoct some outlandish story for her friends about how her mom embarassed her and other mortifying tales. I figure I should save her creative juices and actually talk about things on here that she can complain about later in life.

My four year old is completely potty-trained (thank heavens, right?) as long as she's not in bed. We've been working on this for the last twelve months and we can count on two hands how many times she has kept her pull-up dry. We've tried making her own the problem by having to change her own sheets, we have tried getting her up at 11pm to go to the bathroom, and we've tried bribery (hey, I never said I was above it). When we made her take her hair feather out at the end of summer she was devastated so we told her if she could keep her pull up dry for three nights she could get a new one. Well, tonight I am thankful because we can say we are getting a new feather. AND we had two dry nights IN A ROW. Never been done for Miss Addison. Yeah for new hair feathers.... And the day we won't have to buy pull-ups!

Dear Father, thank you for progress and for little girls. Amen.
