Day 272 - Preventative Measures

Today, I felt like I was following a one year old.  Picking up her messes.  And then watching her make the same mess.  She has a track through the house - she starts in the coaster drawer of the coffee table, then she heads over to the toy basket and pulls them all out.  Heads into the kitchen, pulls out the spices out of the spice drawer and then to the breakfast nook where she either tries to pull the trash out of the trashcan or eats dog food.  Appealing options, I know.  From there she checks to see if anyone left the bathroom door open to see if she can pull those little white caps off the base of the toilet.  Next is the shoe corral to pull out shoes and move them all over the house.  And then we go back to the coaster drawer.  So maybe I felt like this because it's truly what I did all day.  So, tonight I am thankful for the preventative measures my husband took tonight.  A trip to Target and we have a spice drawer that is locked, a tupperware cupboard and cleaning cupboard that are locked by something stronger than a rubberband and a coaster drawer that Houdini cannot get into.  And for this, I am thankful!

Dear Father, thank you for a husband who took this off my plate today.  Amen.
