Day 238 - Dead Flowers

I'm starting to think ahead to next week for Livy's shindig.  Every time I walk out the front door I have noticed that the hanging basket was looking pretty pathetic.  I've tried bringing it back to life, without any success.  So this afternoon I decided to swing by Ludema's to see if I could get a deal on a new hanging basket for the last couple weeks of summer. 50% off perennials and hanging baskets....don't mind if I do.  I was able to get  a huge hydrangea, three lily plants, a gorgeous hanging basket, and a large mum for under $30.  I know it's the end of the season...but we put in a new bed in the back and haven't put much in it yet.  So by the end of the evening it has three hydrangea plants, three day lilies, a peony, and three tall grasses.  It will have something that comes up next year.  It's all a work in progress, but I would have never gotten such good deals, if I didn't have dead flowers.

Dear Father, thank you for a deal. Thank you for an opportunity to see more of your beauty in these plants and flowers.  Amen.
