Today I am thankful for a kind heart. I am thankful that someone noticed that I was a bit harried by 10am. I am thankful that while I was continuing to ring groceries up at the u-check someone decided to begin bagging my groceries for me. (those of you that know me....know I usually refuse to go through these lanes because I figure that the cost of someone bagging my groceries is calculated into their cost...and if that's the case - then someone should bag them for me). What i am most thankful for about this encounter, was the fact that the person who started bagging my groceries was the person I often find myself doing things for, whether I want to or not, whether she asks or not. I am thankful for the kind heart of my own four year old, who started bagging my groceries today.
Dear most glorious father- thank you for blessing my day today with this kind and innocent action. This action that required no request, no question, but a large amount of gratitude. Thank you for planting a seed in my and my daughter's heart today. And thank you for the conversation that this action brought about. Amen.
