Day 84 - Leftover Night

Today was a good day.  But a long day.  We started at the pediatrician's office for a well-child visit - for a child who is not well.  Olive has been sick for over seven weeks as we talked about in a previous post.  However, today she apparently had more than "the crud".  How about a double ear infection?  Ugh.  Then we we went right to dance class for watch week.  We brought home the costume and received a packet with eight pages of instructions for recital.  Ugh.  I called a lady about a dresser. We're getting a new dresser for Addison and a friend told us about a lady who refinishes really well made old ugly furniture.  For a really affordable price.  So she wanted to know if we could come today to look at them.  Sure.  Ugh.

So tonight I am thankful for leftover night.  That we didn't have to spend a half hour in the kitchen making dinner.  That we could just heat it up and go.

Dear Father - thank you for the little things.  Like left-overs.  For the ability appreciate a day that was jam packed with stuff that won't have to be placed somewhere else.  Thank you for a break. Amen.
