Day 72 - Property Management

I used to do the account receivables for our condominium association.  It was a nice little side job and I made a small bit of extra money each month - as well as covering our monthly dues.  However, it was a lot of work - as our board was very inactive and I ended up picking up a lot of the slack.  In November the board of directors began to look at utilizing a property management company.  I knew if they elected to do this my little bit of extra money would go away - and I would have to pull my checkbook out each month to pay our dues.  They did elect to do this.  And, starting in January we started writing a check each month.  Such is life.  So, why am I thankful for this?

There are a number of things we aren't thrilled about in our association.  Like our new neighbors who feel like it is okay to park a half bed truck across the street and take up any additional parking that may exist.  Commerical trucks aren't allowed to be parked in our neighborhood per the by-laws and previously - there would have been no one to call about such a complaint - besides myself.  So, tonight - I am thankful for property management.

Dear Father - thank you for blessing us with the resources to provide a home for our family.  Thank you for allowing us to find the positive in a situation that could be something less.  Amen.
