Day Five - Smiles

Today was a long(er) day.  But planning ahead helped.  I didn't get home from picking up the girls until after 6p - the roads were a little snow-covered and traffic was ridiculous tonight.    Dinner was already prepared...I love the crock pot.  While my wonderful husband cleaned up dinner I went upstairs with the girls to change out of my work clothes and into pj's.  The three of us girls took a fifteen minute break from life and snuggled and cuddled on our bed.  That felt good, but nothing felt as good as both girls looking at me with unexpecting smiles.  Addison's whole face lights up when she smiles and Olive doesn't have enough face to capture the entire essence of her smile - those smiles changed my whole day. 

Dear Father Almighty - thank you for blessing me with parts of my day that are challenging - and also thank you for rewarding me with smiles like those of my girls that are powerful enough to change my entire outlook.  In your name I pray, Amen.
