I talked about my tough kid earlier this week. She's equally tough today. We've been battling a bug for some time and this morning it seemed to be winning. When I asked Addison to get dressed she melted into a puddle of tears and asked for a hug. Obliging, I smelled that stinky burning fever smell that I am sure all moms know. Sure enough, temperature was over 100 degrees. Jeff stayed home with her this morning and took her to the pediatrician. Apparently, even though she was already on an antibiotic the dr. is thinking that she somehow developed pneumonia. Jeff took her for a chest x-ray and blood work. Apparently her blood oxygen level was 91. Not so great. If it were below 89 she would have be admitted to the hospital. We are waiting for a phone call from the pediatrician with the results of everything but right now I am just thankful for our 91 and our super dad Jeff who managed the day.
Dear Father - please watch over Addison's body and allow her healing. Thank you for a husband and father in Jeff that is one that is as wonderful and loving as he is. Amen.
