Addison's Aunt Pamela had to have surgery about a week and a half ago - and Nana went to help her out with our cousin Mercer - while she recovered. Well - Nana decided to bring Mercer back to Michigan for a little over a week with her to give Auntie Pam a little bit more time to recuperate. We've had fun so far! Thursday night we went to dinner and we went to the Children's Museum - Friday night we went to dinner and played at Mayor and Mrs. Roots house! Addy and Mercer have become fast friends! In fact - I think they are smitten!

We've had a few more things on the docket - I'm busy at work - and I am making life more difficult for myself - since I spilled an entire latte on my work laptop late last week. It seems that the computer has dried out and is working (sans the keyboard) so I am going to order a new keyboard next week and in the meantime I am using a USB keyboard....Ahh - the joys of technology and overpriced coffee!
We also had Uncle Drew over the last few weekends for some home improvement - he put linoleum in our bathroom upstairs - which we love!!! And he installed a new closet door in there for us as well! Today he came over and started the next project - he is putting new countertops in our kitchen! He has one of them done and it looks WONDERFUL! I am going to paint the walls and the cupboards on Wednesday (I took the day off!) I will post some before and afters!
Also, Addy has been visiting with Brooklyn quite a bit lately. Brooklyn is our neighbor and our friends Eric and Cristy's daughter. The girls have known each other for a little over a year but are just now really warming up to one another and it has been so much fun to watch the two of them get excited to see one another and really play with one another!
And lastly, I know how to knit. Okay - I've known how to knit...sort of. But my girlfriend Sara from Alma sent me a knit hat book for Addy's birthday - and I finished one! I am on a roll....and probably addicted!

Is it too difficult? I knit, too (not well, though!) and would like to make a good hat for my neice. (she is almost 3)
