colds, fall, hats, aunts, and hockey

So...the Ekloves were sick this weekend. This is how it started. Last Friday morning Addison woke up around 6:30 am. We gave her 8 ounces of formula which she gobbled down. We settled back into bed for a quick snooze before I had to get in the shower at 7:15. Zzzzzz....and then....Addison who is almost asleep in the crook of my arm picks her head up a bit and looks directly at me and SUDDENLY...I have 8 ounces of formula all over my face. On my face, my neck, my hair. Thank heavens I wasn't sleeping with my mouth open! My mom thought this was a funny story and that it almost beat the time that I peed on her shoulder when I was two. I think that this way surpasses the time I peed on her...after all that's sterile.

We did make it to Drew's hockey game this weekend, and the Apple Orchard...but I think that Addison's upset stomach was just a cue for how we were all going to feel this weekend, Jeff and I have terrible colds and Addison looks like she might be coming down with another ear infection...we'll see we go back to the doctor's for her nine month check up and an ear check on Thursday.

I did stay home from work yesterday to try and beat this thing, but this morning it seems to have hung on just a bit longer. Well, we will just chalk it up to the fall weather that Michigan has blessed us with....Here is Addison getting ready for fall trying on the hat that Gramme made for her.

Addison was also able to go to the fall Festival in Rockford the weekend before last with her boyfriend Austin and her friend Gracie (my friend Kelly's daughter).

The same weekend we were able to see Aunt Lindsey and Aunt Adrienne...AT THE SAME TIME! That rarely happens and it just fell together perfectly! Here is little miss playing with the two aunt's who can't quite seem to get enough of her!
